LogCheck’s mobile-first capabilities combine with CRE’s leading building operations platform to streamline routine checks and inspections for the best maintained properties.
BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#BostonCRE—Building Engines, the leading provider of building operations software for modern commercial real estate (CRE), today announced its acquisition of LogCheck, a best-of-breed application that helps streamline rounds, inspections and preventive maintenance tasks. Flexible and easy-to-use, LogCheck enables facility managers and engineers to automate routine checks and reporting in the field, providing a simpler way to maximize building efficiencies.
LogCheck’s unique mobile-first capabilities will help bolster Building Engines’ already industry-leading preventive maintenance and inspections offerings via Prism, CRE’s most modern and comprehensive building operations platform.
“We’re always hyper-focused on ways to improve our building operations products and to make life easier for our customers,” said Tim Curran, CEO of Building Engines. “With LogCheck, not only has the company built an application that their customers love; they’ve also demonstrated the expertise to continuously serve this group of end users in new and innovative ways. This acquisition fits right in with our customer-driven approach to continuously expand our platform, and we’re excited to welcome the domain experts on the LogCheck team to the Building Engines family.”
Founded in 2012, LogCheck’s application was developed to help operations and maintenance teams anticipate and prevent problems early – notably by relieving the communication challenges that are common to facilities management. The New York-based company now supports more than 800 active subscriptions from customers such as Boston Properties, Brookfield and Vornado. LogCheck’s product is currently used to improve operational efficiencies for more than 400 million square feet of real estate across 1,400-plus buildings, including The New York Times Building and The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York City), The U.S. Bank Tower (Los Angeles) and John Hancock Tower (Boston).
Highlights of the LogCheck application include:
- Digital checklists for improved accountability and communication for property management and staff
- A highly customizable, simple-to-use mobile app that’s more effective than paper log sheets
- The flexibility to automate routine inspections, preventive maintenance tasks, meter readings and security and sanitary rounds from a single application
- Fast, 24/7 access to maintenance data via web dashboards, calendar views and reports
“LogCheck was built for engineers, by engineers,” said LogCheck co-founder Michael Brown. “Our application helps prevent problems by keeping management and staff on the same page without the paperwork. It works because it’s simple – but there’s still more work to do. We’re proud and excited to align with an industry leader like Building Engines in our effort to continuously support property teams and maintenance staff in new and innovative ways.”
The announcement comes on the heels of Building Engines’ January acquisition of Ravti, an innovative provider of HVAC management solutions. LogCheck now marks the fifth company to join Building Engines since 2018, representing the latest milestone for the organization’s build-buy-partner growth strategy that has seen its subscriptions increase to more than 30,000 properties and 3 billion square feet across the globe.
