The former heads of European Business Development and Global Communications at leading proptech firm Equiem, have announced the launch of Bloxspring, a specialist proptech scale-up engine helping providers to boost their sales and build their profiles.
Adam Malik and PJ Appleton, both of whom have been integral to Equiem’s European growth, have established Bloxspring to help firms overcome the significant obstacles in scaling a proptech business. Bloxspring offers proven business development and communications expertise, strategies and tools, to help solve those challenges and empower companies to achieve transformative, long-term growth.
Based in London, Bloxspring’s services are particularly aimed at proptech providers looking to expand into new markets, accelerate growth, build-out sales teams or secure new investment. The firm will offer support across all property asset classes and stages, with an initial focus on working with companies operating in the U.K., Europe, the USA and the Far East.
To support businesses during the current COVID-19 pandemic, Bloxspring is also offering a pro bono crisis communications and sales planning workshop for any proptech firm.
Commenting on the launch of Bloxspring, Co-Founder, Adam Malik said:
“No matter how great the product, proptech providers always face significant obstacles when scaling their business. A lack of network, profile, sales experience and suitable strategy can all inhibit growth, whilst overcoming these obstacles is always expensive and risky.
“Our experience at Equiem and advising other scale-ups, led us to see the need for Bloxspring – a fit-for-purpose and proven resource that empowers providers to accelerate their growth quickly, sustainably and successfully.”
With industry experts predicting that only 5% of proptech firms will survive, Co-Founder, PJ Appleton, says it is vital that companies have the tools and expertise needed to succeed:
With over 7,000 proptech providers competing for sales and market share, it’s imperative that providers know how to effectively communicate their proposition and expand their reach, if they are going to stand out from the pack.
“The reality is that business development and communications are often skills gaps for proptech firms who have understandably been focused on getting their product fit for market. Our unique expertise across both streams, means that founders can trust us to help them take their business to the next level and become a true proptech success story.”
Prior to Equiem, Appleton advised the likes of Schroders, Nuveen and British Land at leading communications agencies FTI Consulting and Redwood Consulting. Adam Malik was formerly Director, Business Development at Investis, a global digital communications company, where he spearheaded the company’s expansion into new markets including Russia & CIS and Middle East.
